Cape Breton Golf Courses

Overlooking the Bras d'Or lake, this scenic golf course is well-maintained and carefully designed to provide a first-class golfing experience. This course boasts the largest practice facility in Atlantic Canada and was voted the best new course in Canada in 1998. The course is open from May 15 to October 31.

Located in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, this scenic course was built in 1939 by famed golf course designer Sir Stanley Thompson. Thompson called this course his ‘mountains and ocean’ course, and designed to course to take advantage of the balance between the highlands and the coastline of the stunning Cape Breton region.

Each of the 18 holes on this scenic course has a traditional Acadian name and placards the point out in French and English places of historic and geological significance. The course was built in 1975 by the hard-work and determination of the community of Cheticamp.

Enjoy rolling tree-lined fairways at this scenic course, located in the quiet countryside of Cape Breton. This course, built in 1950, has lived through a fire and was subsequently redesigned by famed golf designer Robert Moote.

This golf course was built by Cape Breton pro golfing legend Harvey Ellsworth Jr, who named it to honour the fallen soldiers of WWI. The course features tree-lined, flat fairways, well-placed hazards and small greens, making it challenging as well as fun.

This club was originally established in 1895, and has undergone numerous redesigns and facility upgrades over the 110+ years it has been in operation, including one redesign by famed golf architect Sir Stanley Thompson. Enjoy scenic fairways and several facilities at this popular club.

This gentle course offers views of Baddeck River, the valley and the mountains. The course is situated on former farm land, and the clubhouse is in the original farm house.
